PEARS WITH APRICOT SAUCE

Preperation Time: 15 minutes.
Cooking Time: 15 minutes.
Serves: 6 .
Ingredients:
  1. 4 tbsps sugar juice of  lemon
  2. 6 pears
  3. 250 grams apricots(dry)
  4. Juice of 1/2 lemon
  5. 100 grams sweetened cream, 2 tbsps chopped walnuts and 5 cherries for decoration
  6. 3 tbsps sugar
  7. 2 cloves
  8. 2 sticks cinnamon
  9. 4 tbsps sugar


Method of Preparation:
 
Step 1: Peel the pears and divide each into two vertically. Remove the centre part and add the sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, cloves and 1 teacup of water. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes till soft.
 
Step 2: Cool the pears and chill them.
 
Step 3: Wash the apricots and add 2 teacups of water. Leave for at least 4 hours.
 
Step 4: Take out the seeds, add the sugar and cook for 4 minutes.
 
Step 5: Pass the mixture through a sieve.
 
Step 6: Cool the sauce, add the lemon juice and chill.
 
Arrange thr pears on a plate and pour the sauce over them, Sprinkle the walnuts and cherries. If you like, serve with sweetened cream.
